Terms of Service

Last updated: July 12, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Ventorah — the browser-based aerodynamic simulation platform available at ventorah.com (the “Service”), owned and operated by its individual proprietor, based in India (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service — engineering disclaimer

Ventorah produces aerodynamic engineering estimates: panel-method and correlation-based solutions in the browser, optional AI-assisted analysis, and optional OpenFOAM-based CFD. Results are intended for early-stage design exploration and education.

Results are NOT certified engineering data. They must not be used as the sole basis for the design, certification, or operation of any system where failure could cause injury, death, or property damage — including aircraft, road vehicles, medical devices, and structural components. You are responsible for independently validating any result before relying on it.

3. Accounts

You need an account to use the Service. You may register with an email address and password or through a supported sign-in provider (Google, GitHub). You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.

4. Plans, payments, refunds

The Service is offered in three plans:

  • Trial (free) — 5 demo simulations using the instant in-browser engine. Demo results are not saved.
  • Bring-your-own ($5/month subscription) — connect your own compute worker and your own AI API keys; unlimited saved simulations. Cancel any time through the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • Pro ($50 one-time credit pack) — 50 managed CFD solve credits plus collaboration features. One credit is charged per managed solve and automatically refunded if the solve fails to start.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Refunds processed through Stripe reverse the associated credits and plan benefits. Prices may change with notice; changes never apply retroactively to credits you already purchased.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the 3D models you upload and the simulation results, comments, and projects you create. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, and display that content to you and to teammates you invite — that is the entire purpose of the license. We do not sell your content or use it to train models.

You are responsible for having the rights to any geometry you upload. Do not upload content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else's intellectual property or export-control restrictions.

6. Bring-your-own compute and API keys

On applicable plans you may connect your own OpenFOAM worker and your own AI provider API keys. Your worker is your infrastructure: you are responsible for its security, availability, and costs. API keys you store with us are encrypted at rest and used solely to make requests on your behalf; usage is billed to you by the provider under their terms.

7. AI features

Some features send your simulation configuration, mesh-derived features, and prompts to an AI model provider (Anthropic) to generate analysis, design suggestions, or solver parameters. AI output can be wrong; treat it as a starting point, not a conclusion. Where the Service learns reusable heuristics from runs, those heuristics are stored per-account and are not shared across customers.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • probe, disable, or circumvent security or plan-gating features;
  • access another user's data without authorization;
  • resell the Service or use it to build a competing hosted service;
  • use the Service in violation of applicable law, including export controls;
  • impose unreasonable load (e.g., automated bulk solving) outside your plan's intent.

9. Availability

The Service is provided without an uptime guarantee. Managed compute capacity may be limited or temporarily offline; where a paid solve cannot run, the credit is automatically returned. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings; this permanently removes your account and content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these Terms, with a refund of unused paid credits where the violation was not willful.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the Service. Contact us through the contact form for any questions about these Terms.
